State-of-the-art Facility

Students have access to cutting edge technologies in a state-of-the-art facility. Recent purchases include a PANDA laser metal powder bed fusion machine for additive manufacturing, a dedicated friction stir welder, Gleeble System physical simulation machines, and a High-Energy Diffraction (X-Ray) Microscopy instrument. Students also have access to other college and university laboratories and centers; e.g., the Van Vlack laboratory and the Michigan Center for Materials Characterization (MC2).
